Jacques CôtÉ

Born, raised, and residing in Orléans, Jacques Côté has been in private practice since being called to the Ontario Bar in February 1996. After two years of study in political science and history at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Social Sciences, he was admitted to the Faculty of Law at the same University. He obtained his Bachelor of Law degree in 1994 as part of the Francophone Common Law program and completed his articling with the law firm of Lalonde, Chartrand, Colonnier, O'Connor in 1994-1995.

In 1996, Mr. Côté completed a concentration in political science at the University of Ottawa. He was the francophone recipient of the Rodrigue Pageau Memorial Scholarship during the 1990-91 academic year. During his studies in political science and history, Mr. Côté was awarded a scholarship for excellence by that University.  Mr. Côté was a recipient of the Governor General of Canada medal upon completing high school.

From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Côté taught civil procedure and insolvency law courses at the Law Society of Ontario, and marked the civil procedure exams. From 2011 to 2014, Mr. Côté taught at La Cité Collégiale the following courses in the Paralegal program : Responsabilité professionnelle, Rédaction juridique. From 2017 to 2020, Mr. Côté taught the course Testaments et successions in the program Adjoint juridique.  Mr. Côté is currently teaching at the University of Ottawa Law Faculty (Common Law) the course Testaments et successions. He is also a Maître de stage in the Programme de pratique du droit at the University of Ottawa, Law Faculty (Common Law).

Being bilingual, he practices in both official languages.  Since opening his own law practice in 1996, Mr. Côté has been practicing as a sole practitioner.   With an extensive experience in civil litigation, Mr. Côté now concentrates solely in Real Estate & Wills and Estates.

Hélène Lessard

After a career of more than 39 years in the legal field, including 24 years in my office, Hélène has begun a well-deserved retirement. Her professionalism, dedication and numerous personal qualities will be greatly missed. A huge thank you to Hélène for her exceptional work during all these years, also a huge thank you for having served all our clients so well, without exception.

We wish her a wonderful retirement, filled with happiness and joyful activities.
